Guided Meditation

Each week, UCLA's Hammer Museum offers free guided meditation sessions, open to any who wish to participate. Led by teachers of the university's Mindful Awareness Research Center, and taking place in the comfortable seats of the Billy Wilder Theater, these classes are open to all who are interested in learning how to live more presently. Mindfulness has scientific support as a means to reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune system, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of health and well-being. No special clothing is required, and participants are welcome to stay for 5 minutes or enjoy the entire 30-minute session.
